Question about motors?
Ok im new to this rc car thing and my girlfriend bout me a sprint 2 drift sport for xmas. She knew i wanted a drift car and knew nothing about these rc cars so i was happy she got something i actually wanted. but heres the question the motor it came with is a 15t.... i dont know what it means (15t) and later on if i want to change it what should i go with and also what else should i change (besides tires i know this) to make it an ultimate drifter?

RE: Question about motors?
the "t" in 15t stands for turns. higher turns equals more torque but lower top speed, lower turns are the reverse. You want to stick to the higher turn motors in order to get the torque to drift, the 15t should be ok for it. For the future you may want to look at brushless esc and motor. Virtually no maintenance with brushless. Not sure if the rear diffs are locked (should be for a car stated to be a drifter) but if they aren't then you're going to want to lock them. putty works if you ever want to unlock them in the future but for a permanent fix use jbweld or get a solid axle instead and keep the original diff clean. A lot of drifters also use front one ways.

RE: Question about motors?
I know that you cannot use a motor with less than 15t with stock setup.

RE: Question about motors?
Locking the rear diff is something i DO NOT recommend. [sm=thumbs_down.gif]
