Is it 4wd? like sircc says see if you can lock the diffs maybe not on a nikko ? If not try electrical tape over the tyres that always works a treat ;)

I'm not sure a Nikko product will have enough power to drift, or maybe it has too much downforce on the rear.

Another thing is, slicks have the most grip of any tires on dry surfaces, try the electrical tape over the tires and see if that helps. Drifters use a very hard rubber rear tire.

Im trying to drift on slick lamanant floor so the tires are not a problem.i gess i will just have to but a drifter. anyone know of a realy cheap one?

If you are trying to drift on laminate, you need something that is soft and slick. Foams might work for a little while, but once they get warmed up, they will grip. I don't know of anything else you can try to make a car drift on laminate. If you want something that's not too expensive, yet you can still repair and upgrade, I'd check into Tamiya products. I don't know if they have a drifter, but it can't hurt to look.

EDIT- Thought of something else you could try. Wrap some sort of material around the tires, like an old sock. You might be able to use a baby sock. This would eliminate any grip you have on a laminate floor.

do a google or ebay search for TT-01 D. "D" stands for drift and it's a Tamiya product. It's not a great platform, but it's good for the price, and you can tune and upgrade to your liking.

I like my losi xxx-s as a drifter easy to do to dont buy the over priced drift xxx. just need new tires and tighten up the diffs in the front. and it comes with a fairly decent brushless system
