Set-ups
I've got a few questions...
Im kind of new to RC drifting, but not new to RC Just wondering what kind of set up would you recommend for a TT-01, TL-01 and a TA-03? I can get the drift but somethings just not feeling right. To drift like the pro's is there any set up and tuning involved or just practice practice practice ? |
RE: Set-ups
Getting the right set up for a car takes a lot of trial and error. If you don't know where to start, there is a good guide here.

RE: Set-ups
good guide (:
i know my shocks are set up wrong afte reading that. just wondering if i should still go fro softer shocks in the front on the TA-03 because the morot is mounted over the front bumper? / |
RE: Set-ups
you need stiffer shocks in the front
|
RE: Set-ups
ok,
sorry im such a noob but with the added weight of the motor in the front the shocks should feel about the same when you push down on the car with your hands? |
RE: Set-ups
ORIGINAL: SIRCC you need stiffer shocks in the front you want soft all around, but the rear should be a tad stiffer then the front. Soft front and harder rear will give the front tires bite and let the rear slide around. this will give you greater control. |
RE: Set-ups
Yeah that what i was thinking, but i think he is meaning because it is a TA-03f the front shocks should be slightly stiffer to accomadate for the front mounted motor?
anyway i think i will set it up with soft shocks all round because Ive noticed that with soft shocks on the front you can brake hard and spin the car around easily |
RE: Set-ups
yeah its about feel, play around and see what ya like best. what works for me , might not work for you
|
RE: Set-ups
I could not have said that better myself.
|
RE: Set-ups
I got a ta-03 in a trade and realized everytime hit the throttle the front of the car was bouncing all over the place, what motor you using has alot to do with it as well
|
RE: Set-ups
it shouldnt bounce too much with the shocks set up right?
what do you mean it matters what motor you use? power? weight? |
