New to RC Drifting
 

Hi there everyone,

Well i'm really interested in getting in to RC-drifting and so I'm
wondering what is a really good, well proving set-up.

Or if one could post a couple of well known set-up, price is not a problem at this point.

what works for other dont work for everybody find a unique set up and adjust to your skills, I can get yo the best set-up but if dont know how to drift youre in the dark

The thing is that i would like to know what a good set-up, so it could be a good "bas-setup" start-up setup for me.
But i would like to have a good and powerful set-up as a startup.

Could the HPI Sprint 2 FLUX be or become a good drifting car [sm=confused.gif]
And if so, is there some mod that will need to be done to accomplish this.


Any other RTR drift car recommendation?

Perhaps the two largest beginner drifters are the HPI Sprint 2 Drift and the TT-01D

Virtually any RC car can drift (exception of nitro), just throw "ungrippy" tyres on and BAM you can drift. Also keep in mind POWER or TOP SPEED is NOT the aim in drifting!!!

Your out of your mind if you really beileve that nitro cars cant drift. Nitro cars with the right practice can drift just as good as any electric.

Hello there everyone,

What is the type of motor that comes standard with the the RTR Street 2 Drift? Brushless?

And if not could i replace this with the Street 2 Flux ESC and Motor.
Or is there a better option out there?

Because i don’t really like to have a setup that uses a brush setup.


And also is there any mod. on the both S2D / S2F that is a good idea?



Any suggestion any comments, concerns are greatly appreciated.

No the sprint 2 drift is brushed but yea you can just drop in a brushless setup.

Hopefully the final question, is the FLUX BRUSHLESS SYSTEM #1151
a drop in replacement for the set-up in the Street 2 Drift?


If so, i would definably buy/ try this set-up.

Perhaps I should have worded it better. Nitro cars should'nt be drifted, as there is usually no load on the engine, causing it more stress run leaner and eventually wear out faster. BUT I do realise thats got more to do with your choice of tyre (ie PVC or an ordinary rubber tyre).

you gotta give nitro drifters their respect though im mean the people who can nitro drift hats off to them seriously you have to have a certain skill level of drifting before you can go nitro

Pretty much any brushless system for a 1/10 scale car will drop right in.

You may want to stick with the brushed setup because it will be slower and easier to learn to drift on.

no doubt, anyone that can successfully and consistently drift a nitro gets a tip of the hat in my book. cus that ish is CRAZY!
