newbie first build tt01D, grease question

hey guys! quick question, i just started building my tt01d and I'm wondering how much grease should be used in general? i don't want to under grease or over grease. for like all the spots it indicates to grease i've just been rubbing on a light coat, but is it better to give it a fairly thick coat of grease? like on the pinion gear?

thanks

RE: newbie first build tt01D, grease question

I googled you question and found this on www.tamiyaclub.com in their forum. ....

"Just put a generous amount of the standard silicone grease (the slightly yellowish stuff). If you want to give a slightly locked diff effect for drifting i packed my rear diff full of anti wear grease, the diff still works but with hardly any traction from my plastic drift wheels its pretty much locked.
As for the spur and pinion i would leave it dry but grease the surrounding elements such as the washers and joints that connect the spur to the drive shaft. I would also recommend the steel hop up pinion as the stock alloy ones wear really quickly. "

Personally I dont own a tamiya, and dont like it so much.....i got me a YOKOMO CGM and a thunder tiger TS-4e for drifting.

Hope the above info can help a bit
