little update, i ordered steel tranny gears for it yesterday, and going to be starting my rebuild.

im converting to a true 4 link

flipped axle mounts, and switched to traxxas t-maxx shocks mounted at an angle to supposedly fight torque twist, and some body roll.

i plan on extending the wheel base to 285mm to help with handling, and fit the proline 1965 ford f100 body.

Just looking into it, didnt want to get scamed into buying a rig that cant stand the rigors of everyday bashing, metal gears is a good idea.

i pulled the ball out, and used a hole bunch of washers to fill in the space, and used the extra ones of these that came with my lunchbox.

Man don't run the vxl system there are way better ones out there then that. I would only use it if you have one laying around. But that's just my what I think that's all it's your money and your truck

honestly any high speeds are going to be hard to handle. im running the xl5 and titan 12t in mine, and to me it is fast enough to still be fun. but not over powered

I usualy run my vxl's on 7 cell nimh and sometimes on training mode 50% power. I ran my rustler vxl on 3's lipo and ripped both tires once.

For an esc i would get one from hobby city i have the 100 amp one and its great. they have smaller ones too and they are way cheaper then the big name brand one and do the same thing in my eyes
