Default Stampede 4x4 Roller build!!!!!

Built it today w/ stock vxl/2075 servo,Futaba 3-PL 2.4 ghz, 30 series Badlands on tourqe's. Went together easy. I had 2 pinion problems-Shattered um-the stock 11T basically fell apart the first time i tightened it soooo i grabbed the stock 13T from my slash 4x4. After i built it i just did a quick test run in my house and after 2 min's the 13T shattered-Dang cheap metal traxxas uses-time for them to upgrade their metal they use hey. the close up of the wheel pic is a old school 2.2 pede front offset showing that it hits the knuckle so no go on those. The body(s) are crap spare basher's i had laying around so i'll paint a new one in the spring. Typical lipo fitment issue in the tray-they need to slot them right from the factory. Cant wait to run it once i get some pinions. Hope you guys like and enjoy!!!!

how much was all this?
I paid 209 for the roller on ebay but i sold off a rtr electric AE tc3 on ebay so -$96 there and also sold off a HPI RS4 chassis on ebay and got $91 for that- (thought i'd get $50 for it and was surprised it fetched that much) so -$91. I got the onroads in a lot of 4 rc's i bought for $200 from a buddy that was selling off all his rc's for a another buddy of his - the lot included a T-maxx 2.5,2wd pede,TC3 rtr, HPI RS4 roller-i sold the t-maxx a few weeks ago on ebay for $180 so i basically got the other's for free-i kept the pede so $10 each for onroad's so the $91 turns to $81 and the $96 turns to $86- SO i ended up paying $42 of my own money for the pede 4x4. I pulled the vxl out of my 2wd pede-so $0 there. Allready had the 30 series badlands for my slash 4x4 (so technically $0 there as they were bought many many months b4 the pede 4x4 was announced). The body came w/ the 2wd pede thats on the 4x4 pede. The Futaba 3-PL cost $114. The 2075 servo also came out of the 2wd pede. After all said and done i paid $156 w/ most of that being for the radio-coulda been alot lot cheaper if i used my HK 2.4 which cost $20 but i wanted the futaba 3-pl which i'll end up using for all my r/c cars eventually.

The rollers on ebay are down to $170 or so.

Total cost out of my own pocket was $156-$114 of that being the futaba 3-PL.

Good eye sir - you ever think that (possibly 14-15 yr old) body would ever see a stampede 4x4 under it-hahaha. Unfortunately on the pede 4x4's maiden 5 min voyage it cracked right where the cab/bed meet all the way down the side-that body was crap anyway-it's painted on the inside/outside w/ the wrong paint so it chips-although theres only 1 set of body holes and they line up perfect-ill just hot glue some spare lexan inside so i can run it till i get a new body.

ThunderbirdJunkie cracked a great many Ram-style Pede bodies in the same manner. That and the windshield base/back of the cowl. Then he got smart and started running Parma bodies [X(]

Good lord now he feels old.

LoL-i feel old to now. I could always use that orange nissan/toyota whatever it is but it's a hard plastic body so might stress that front body mount on a big hit since that thing is like a mile long-guess we'll find out.
