Default Could I put a 1/8th center diff in my slash 4x4?

<meta charset="utf-8" />I was wondering if I could put a 1/8 scale center diff into my slash 4x4 without too much modifying. The Traxxas one isn't very durable.

Thanks, Zane

I'll say no due to the size of their diff.
I own 2 1/8ths scales with diffs, and neither would fit by a long shot
When I got the center diff for the slash I was actually kinda shocked at its small size. I think its smaller than my 1/12th scale truggies diff even.

Okay. Do you have any measurements on a 1/8 diff?

about 23mm's(couldn't get my micrometer close enough for an exact measurement) from the top of the gear to the end of the case
30mm in diameter
measurements off a jammin X1 CRT, I've tried a hot bodies diff in it from one of their 1/8ths, and it fit so I'm guessing that is basically about the size of the majority of them

The slipper might be the better option then.

You could say that. But the whole reason I am using the center diff is because I mostly do track driving, and it gives me a huge handling upgrade.

I think the center diffs problem with 3s is the case is not aluminum, try the one fast lane machine makes.

ThunderbirdJunkie is going to say, YES, it CAN be done.

However, if you're asking this question, then no, YOU can't do it.

Well with enough fabricating of hardware anything can be done
