Default Help identifing Vintage cars

OK guys. I'm normally the one chiming in when people ask what they have but this time I have come across two models that I have no clue what they are.

The first is a 2wd drive model. The gearbox says Kyosho and the shocks are red like the old Scorpion models. The chassis is aluminum and at first I thought it was home made but after looking at it I don't believe so. It symmetrical on both sides, all the holes are perfect and everything is counter sunk. Not sure it's factory but maybe and aftermarket hopup from the period.

The second model is even more of a mystery. There are no marking anywhere on the truck that I can find. The shocks are gold like later Kyosho's and it has an aluminum chassis.

What throws me off on this is it's belt drive 4WD. The wheels are also one piece aluminum with a long shaft offset.

Do ignore the duct tape, Silicone and homemade body mounts.

I bought these as part of a collection and I'm trying to identify what I have.

Thanks for looking.

Quick update.

I've learned that the Second chassis is in fact Kyosho and is the same used on the Optima Mid 4WD. Now i'm trying to determine if this was a factory truck or something someone put together. The Wheels appear to be an aftermarket conversion. They are all aluminum and bolt to a 12mm hex that has a pin drive on both sides.

That first one IS homemade, but was made by a very careful hand and mismatched parts. No RC I know of has a chassis like that.

The first one is a variant of kyosho ultma or rampage 2wd buggy with a home made chassis, the second one is john01374 said, a kyosho optima mid (looks like the long wheel base version) with monster tires.

The first chassis is a "Sassy" chassis made for the ultima, It's not homemade, it's a period aftermarket item.

those body mounts are ridiculous lol and Man U wonldent want to fall short of a jump....

Thanks for the info guys.

I have been working slowly at restoring an FX10 and cleaning up these two cars. I think I found the original owner of the Ultima and he confirmed that the Chassis is in fact a Sassy Chassis. He claims the entire conversion was sold by Sassy including the chassis, Wheels, Body mounts and Body but I'm not sure I believe that.

Either way have both of these cars cleaned up and I've decided to let them go to another home.

The Sassy Chassis car will be sole pretty much as is but clean with a body and controller. I'm close to having a running driving car.

The Optima Mid will be separated from it monster truck conversion wheels. Turns out the Wheels are worth more than the car.

I've cleaned it up and the main chassis is being sold.

I'll post some pics of everything cleaned up. And No I'm not trying to sell it here.
