I need a pair of simple RC vehicles
They will drive on rough dirt, and a small amount of gravel. I would like them to be simple enough for a child (10 years old) to operate without flipping constantly.
I do not need any thing expensive, and I do not want something expensive just in case they get shot - I will be using them to move a target at the shooting range.
What models do you suggest? Thanks!

Hey that sounds like fun... I dare say if u use a Traxxas slash u will get people coming from all over the country just to shoot it... Lol
first thing I'm thinking how heavy are the targets???
How fast did they need to move?
Is it going to be a once off thing? Because u might want something with cheap spare parts if its not.
I would steer clear from lipo batteries, they can be a fire risk if shoot and stick with something brushed to keep the cost down.
ideally it would be good to get something big with big wheels and twin motors....
1/8 Redcat crawler
1/8 HSP crawler
Those would be ur cheapest option.
I think with a little planing u could do it for under $500 for both vehicles, decent fast charger and maby some more batteries...
hey just one last question how long did u need it to run for? Ie. run time?

~15mph max.
Targets are balloons, attached to a wire. No worry on the weight. But I may need to drill into the car's body to attach the wire, so again - cheap is good.
The cars will be reused.
Fire hazard isn't a problem, but thanks for the warning.
Run time of 30 minutes should be plenty, however - I can do with less and get extra batteries if that's cheaper.
Quick-charge isn't important, because I don't go shooting frequently.
With my low requirements, is there something cheaper?
Thanks!

something there you don't get much cheaper then that brand
would need a better battery though
not sure how flippable those are though as I don't use that brands RC's

that might be more stable, but increases the price quite a bit
only thing cheaper then those would be newbrights at walmart or something, but those IMO are unreliable

Are we talking party style balloons??
im thinking.... Really, anything would do, the weight is going to be nothing and by the sounds it does not need to be very stable..... U don't wanna make it to easy lol
Most cheap RC vehicles seem to get around 10min running time so that might even do the trick...
just watch out some cheap cars have very expensive parts....
hopefully someone can chime in on what some ok cheap ones are...
one last question? What kind of range are we talking about?
