Default rustler vxl on 3s heating issues.. solved?

So my rustler get hot as balls when running a 3s and of course there's no way to put a fan or heat sink on a 2wd without replacing the transmission housing (then sacrifice the wheelie bar) so I put this blower fan on i found on amazon, in the process of cutting a heat sink to fit, what do you guys think?

Clever. But the proper way to do it, would have been to gear down a couple teeth on the pinion. 😇

I also think you need to raise the ratio. Even with the fan that motor won't last long.

What do you think? It has a 24t pinion with the factory spur, 19? 21?

18 or 19 would be best ! It will take top speed away but run way cooler
