Default Decisions

I have a stampede vxl 4x4 and a xl-5 2wd, I have a xerun 3600 brushless motor and a castle sidewinder esc I am going to install in one of them. So I am trying to decide if I should put the stock velineon in the xl-5 or put the xerun in the xl-5. Or vice versa. Please let me know what you think and why.

I would put the xerun in the vxl and the vellinion in the xl5. That's my personal opinion, so after you install them both and run them, both will be different from before. Not sure how much different the xerun motor will be after the vellinion, about the same kv, the castle esc should give you more punch.

Whatever you end up doing keep is posted

Measure those motor temps! You may have to adjust the gearing.

Yeah the vellinion tends to get a bit hot with high gearing, but even with a small pinion a 2wd stampede with a vellinion system... Tons o fun, hell of a challenge to drive lol
