1st. Post, been all nitro until now...im 61 and need ideas on gearing this thing, its got 540 brushless 5900kv., 120 amp esc, 5000mah 2c lithium 100 discharge rated., 2:90 diff and 66 t 32 pitch spur. Which pinion ?? I want the best of both worlds, wheelies and a good fast car, I forgot to mention its slipper clutched....Im up for suggestions

I'd start with 16t. Perhaps grab a set so you can try a few. I'd try 16 and go up from there

Ive got many different ones, actually 16t was my 1st choice, tryed it out in paring lot late last night, delayed controls helped me crash pretty good into a curb, nothing I cant fix ( I do ind. Maint. 30 year worth ) anyway, smoked the slipper clutch even after i torked down on it, im thinking to pin it and direct drive , it something else gives, I will fix it and regroup, it was fast and I think it would wheel stand if slipper would be a gripper...so, 16 was good, no about that damn delay, ive got a programmer for the esc and i really dont know what need changing, I need to read up on that.
Ideas on why stock setting delay ??

Turn down 'punch'That should slow the start up, maybe/hopefully protecting the slipper.

I want punch, thats why I am gonna pin it, what i really need the thing to do is react without this 2 second delay , Im gonna have to study up on esc programming, nitro never delayed and im using the same receiver, Im sure it in the esc programming somewhere,

I see what you are saying. They are all a little different, but hopefully you can program that out.

So, a quick follow up on my progress, I did program the esc . china calls it startup mode, its punch or start up speed , after playing with that, this thing launches and top end is pretty good, I can tell you it will blow the nitro's doors on both, now im waiting on my a gps speedo from Amazon, On a side note, I had to engineer help "Support" for the ebay stealth mounted motor mount ....its basically a aluminium shim between the pan and the very tip of the mount with a Side profile raised holding the side stable, Reason need....previous crash bent the mount, so I fixed it where it has no where go now and strengthen it up..
I intend on making this beast very bullet proof, when it breaks I will strengthen it with one off mods until I get there, next i can see the plastic stealth diff case, Im gonna build a spare outa all steel hopefully done before it breaks.
