When increasing rollout you should...
for all of you who dont know roll out is the amount of motor rotation compared to the amount of tires rotations...atleast thats what i think.
anyway i got new masher 2000 2.2 tires for my truck today today for the back of my evader witch i am running stock while my BL is away on repair at the factory.
anyway i am using a old 22 turn stock motor i found and it is overheating so what needs to be done?
thanks all,

RE: When increasing rollout you should...
how many teeth did you go up on the spurr and how many did you drop on the pinion?
Did you run both the larger spurr and smaller pinion together?
I went up to a set tires similar to the mashers on my MT electric, I went from the 22t pinion down to a 15t. I konw thats a big jump in teeth count but it takes alot to get those tires rolling. I can run through grass with little drag on the motor, less drag than stock pinion and stock tires. The speed is about the same as 22t pinion and stock tires. My motor want too much $$, its a speed gem 15 D ( I think) I belive that I paid about $20ish. I really dont think its the best motor for the car, Im going BL in the spring so it will have to do for now.

RE: When increasing rollout you should...
i went from a 22 tooth pinion to a 16 tooth, and on the spur i went from a 66 tooth to a 70 tooth.
it turns out that the motor had like a crack in the comm or something, it was 14 years old so i threw it away.
anyway i purchesed a peak racing 21 turn motor today and all is well, but i plan on buying a better motor soon a trinity or something.
i cant get it to stop poping wheelies without losening the slipper clutch so much that it sqweals constantly.
what MT are you talking about? what speed control are you using?

Shaggy, Are you referring to the three vertical slits as the "cracks"?
