Tire question
My recently purchased rusty is throwin' tires like there is no tomorrow. Everything was fine until I started doing some jumping with it. Is the fix to glue the tires to the rims or do I need to put foam in the tires?
Thanks in advance...

RE: Tire question
Yea glue um. Foam wont do much in the way of holding the tires to the rims.

Glue um' you will have better responce, and your tire wont come off. Good luck!

RE: Tire question
Foams help the tire maintain it's shape during cornering and to keep a more consistent contact patch on the ground. Gluing the beads will keep the tire on the rim. Use CA glue to tack your tires on the rims. If you don't have CA glue from a hobby shop handy, superglue that you guy at Wal-Mart or the grocery store is the same thing. When it's time to change tires, if you'd like to keep the same rims, use some acetone to dissolve the CA glue and remove the old tires.

RE: Tire question
Just make sure you get about a gallon of acetone so you can get your fingers apart when you're done!

RE: Tire question
I've never heard of RC wheels without glue. After gluing mine and letting the dry I test them all on my dremel at 10,000RPM. They balloon up about twice the size but as long as they stay on the rim I know they will never come off while driving.

RE: Tire question
I bought a tube of "super glue" for $2, it worked great! Just enough to do all four tires. Now for my next question: If super glue works, what is the rational for spending $6,7, or $8 for brand name "hobby" glue?

RE: Tire question
ace, you need some new foams before we smell you from a mile away.
...and this is just joking, but I can't resist the chance to say it: your t4 really does stink!
For those that haven't heard the whole story, ace drove his brand new t4 into a septic tank and got it all covered in dookie. Those foams have to be nasty...

RE: Tire question
You're up north where it's gettin' cold too - over the winter PLEASE invest in some new foams. They're cheaper than cologne!
By next June or July in the heat of the summer?
...ew...uh...not enough cologne...gagging...darned servo glitches...can't breath...shoulda...bought...an EVADER...
