thanx... i actually worded my sentence wrong...it should have been posted as "motor speeds" or "motor quality" and then i would show prices and ask for speeds or personal thought...yah Speed the brushless i saw did show an ESC but i was just putting the motor down but i know that the Great Planes Rimfire Brushless is fast already.[X(]

hey jiggle belly you should think about getting a soldering iron because most motors that come with leads already installed are pices o crap, THERE ARE EXCEPTIONS but the majority are not really gonna be worth your time. If you cant get a soldering iron right now then just get trinity no solder leads and clip them onto any motor you want man. a chameleon motor will probably push 25mph with stock gearing

newbs generally dont take into consideration how high quality RC cars actually are, and dont realize the other factors such as acceleration, handling, and torque, are just as if not more important than speed.

good points about newb's! Another point I'd like to add: THEY ARE NEW! New to the sport, new to the electronics, and some, like my bro, aintskeered, do not have enough mechanical experience to go beyond the limits of an rtr. However they are willing to learn. It is important to break things down barney style often so they understand the whos, whats, wheres, whys, and whens, of their new found hobby. This also keeps them interested. to know that these "toys" are in fact of high quality like you said rcjunky, is something that newbs need to realize. They can get there but we have to be patient. Of course a newb is going to ask how fast his car will go with a certain motor. This is where the mechanics comes into play. A lot of people don't know that there are a bunch of working systems to an rc that also need attention and that speed needs to be harnessed. Patients! (is that the wrong spelling of the word?)

hmmm barney style...i like that bro... see i don't think anyone deserves the right to say bad stuff about a newbie and i'm not just saying that because i am one... i have lived by the thought of not judging something that u once were...and don't say why we ask about motor speeds cuz HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO KNOW????!!![:@]it's just like looking into some new technology that just came out such as an I pod. if u never knew anything about it than how could u use it???use your head now...human beings can't just automatically know what something does... we learn....patience is a virtue---amigo.

i can't help asking about speed. For now my servos and shocks and everything work fine for now. I don't even race. I just run my truck up and down the block. So i want it to go fast. So how fast does a blah blah go with a blah blah?

Good points USMCRC, everyone was a "newb" at some point. Some folks tend to be kind of pompous and condescending when explaining things to someone new to the hobby, irritates me too.
