Default Motor Capacitors

I just bought a new Speed Gems 15x2 motor. The sheet that came with says something about soldering a capacitor to the motor. Is this necessary? If so can someone tell me where to solder it. Pictures would help too.

Default RE: Motor Capacitors

The capacitor should be soldered with one leg to each of the motor lugs for a single capacitor. If two capacitors, one leg of each cap should go to a motor lug, the other to a screw lug that fits under one of the screws that holds on the end bell assy. Two are better than one.

They are there to supress radio noise generated by the armature/brushes. If you never let the car get far from you or you never race they may not matter to you, but the potential for radio interference to your radio and others if you race is increased if you leave the caps off. They consume no power, so may as well put 'em on..
