Default ???????????????????

Ok when I was younger i had an old Kyosho electric buggy and it ended up getting ran over by a car one day, but I took all of the electronics out of it and made a boat hull out of balsa wood and it has an mechanical speed control in it and it is not working right so I was wondering if I could put an electric speed control in it. Thanks in advance. This is what the old one looks like.

Your link @tower said it was discontinued.. Go with a ESC! You can get a good esc for next to nothing $$$$ and is way better than a mech speed controler.

The diff between a esc and a mech speed con is a night and day diff.. You got to go to a esc trust everyone.

yeah dude ... buy yourself an inexpensive ESC. They are smoother transitioning, take up less space than those buckly old mechanical ones, and are just overall better. They will however be less resistant to water if it's going in a boat, so you'll need to make sure your boat is water tight. Tower has tons of ESC's, check them out on there.

For a boat right? Get a duratrax esc. its 30$ and will be all you need to run in a boat!
