Default best batts for $30-40??

I have a 1900mah duratrax battery and I was wanting some more power and runtime out of my car. I'm looking for a battery that isn't too expensive (in my 30-40 dollar price range) and has good quality good runtime etc

You will get a huge number of responses for the IB3800s from Boomboombatteries.com. I have cheapo NiMh 3000 MaH packs that are doing me fine for now, but I don't race. I also have a Venom NiMh 3600 that is good, too.

"more power and runtime out of my car"
The IB's will still have an even greater runtime AND power than those 3300's

Thanks for the replies, this helped a lot I'm checking out boom boom batteries, and I'm thinking about what doahh said and checking these out: http://boomboombatteries.com/product...12&subgenre=25

... but also happywing's suggestion might look tempting because they are a bit cheaper. Will they fit in my XXX-S though? I heard the IB3800s are bigger that other batteries[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

It's already solodered on... it just looks better without it because then the camera isn't trying to focus on a battery plug sticking out the top

I ordered some 7-cell packs from Offshore and they are great. I'm not affiliated with them and have no reason to promote them other than my experience. The service was fast, thorough and friendly. I wasn't sure what configuration I wanted and they contacted me a couple of times for measurements of my battery tray. Really, they went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted. I don't know why you think the site "screams fraud," but I had very good luck there.

Looks plenty legit to me, in fact with those prices I may order some stuff from them tonight.

Did you even look at their homepage? They even have an RCU link on it - http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/MainPage.htm

LOL you guys have it all wrong!!! Steven at offshore electrics is a great man, although his specialty is boats, He has great service, his name on RCU is "pagemaster" he browses the boating section as thats what he does, so all in all no worry, he wont fraud you. I think Ron Olson knows him. Good luck in your choice of batteries, go with the intellect, you wont be sorry.

For a dollar per fun value the Radio Shack GP3300s are tough to beat. If you are looking for more capacity take a look at the matched packs from [link=http://www.spcracing.com]SPC Racing[/link]. Matched and assembled GP3700s for $36.99 or IB3800s for $40.99.

People were still discussing other sources, such as Offshore Electrics and as such I did not know the issue had been resolved.
