This one?

It should be able to handle dual silvercans no problem...
Most of the modified motors do not need extra capacitors as they have them built in already...
It is nice to have 3 per motor.. but you should be okay to run without.. but since you got 3.. you might as well put one each for now.. (between + and -)

Yeah thats the one i got. Hopefully it should run smoother now. I forgot how bad the MSC's were when i was a kid or maybe i didnt know any better. I also ordered the servo relocation brackets from New Era. Those should help greatly with the steering. Thanks for all you help Lunchboxer.

No problem, be sure to post some pics of your setup once you got it.. (esp. the New Era steering, I'd be interested to see that!)
Have fun!!

actually, they aren't from new era. although they sell something very similar. but is the kit you got plus skids really cheaper?
i need to get some comparable parts made and sell them. then i'll be taking all ya'll's $$$$ lol

Well, the kit I got was like $60..
The skid is like $15 (when JunFac had it..)
The NewEra front bumper and steering kit is like $140 total?
I just need to keep on waiting, I guess, ha ha!! One of these days, I will find one.. ha!!

i'm not familiar with the new era steering kit. but don't the servos mount straight to the bumper? they did on mine. so i got the bumper and servo mounts 2-in-1. score!
#2489

Yeah.. the fat steering links + servo mount are what I meant by the steering kit..
So yes, you can run the bumper and and then run stock steering links... that is a good way to save money there.. !

Ok I've decided to get another Clod. Probably put a Super Clod on layby at my LHS. I will build it 'stock' but with esc and bearings. Unsure of what esc to get, thinking of the Tamiya twin motor jobby to get me started. Anyone had any experience with these ?
#2497

Cornel uses it on his stock Clod! He can probably give you some feedback..
I use the one from E-Savage.. so I can run dual packs!
