Super Clod Buster Build-up Thread

LOL, that makes sense.. but kind of defeat the purpose / spirit of WW-2.. I think we need to race without external weight added... hee hee...

The key to WW2 racing is the silvercan mod. Aka strap a Mabuchi to the front of the car. Now u can actually move around without wheelie [X(]

Just got my 3PM, Super Duty ESC, servos, xtals and misc gear from Tower.
I also bought some LRP ESC's that are 18+ turns. They are the size of a quarter![X(] Smaller than the R153F Rx! Fail safe integrated and waterproof!! WOW!
I also got those 19T Fireballs...
Going to set it up tonight. I'll bring it when I pick up the WW2. You are the only one that ever drives my cars...

I wish my neighbors were into RC's like I am. One neighbor down the road has a nitro, but knows nothing about it or anything rc related. Also, he thinks nitro is king...LoL. Well, i originally had a GD body for my sledgehammer and was gonna buy a new one for the clod...we will see.

D*** it! Another is going to fall victim of that lrp crap[:'(] You shoulda mentioned earlier that you were getting lrp runners A.I.!! They a horrible esc with a throttle delay(2 speed throttle at floored) and they have a false turn rating, a quality 19 or 20t will easily overheat/burn them. That's the esc I had and was running a 19t and it literally lit on fire not to mention it would thermal within 5mins. Everyone who has owned them that I know of doesn't like them. Are you running the fireballs on them? If so, you should be ok but you'll still have that throttle delay. Never upgrade to a quality 19t though, I learned the hard way.

Look what we have here. Final assembly will have threadlock and traxxas rod ends if you want. I must say, if you are a sucker for perfection, I must have the holes drilled on a lathe on a new set because 2 of the six links have some pretty crooked holes, but the rod ends straighten right out when you screw them down so either way....

I know for a fact that with traxxas rod ends they're exact. With the current ones they're maybe a millimeter off per link.
