Yea the stock Clod has really bad steering especially when you're trying to drive it in a confined space. To get the best steering you'll either need dual axle mounted servos or a single high torque servo with an aftermarket servo saver so that you can lock down the stock servo savers.

it was easier to do it in parallel mode, in series it ran out of steam to quickly to really lift the front wheels

running in parallel will give you more power. series will give you more run time. i run mine parallel. i didn't try series, but i can't imagine how boring it would be. the thing isn't slow, but it doesn't have room to lose any performance. it will try to pop a wheelie...but doesn't get more than an inch off the ground.

i would not use the teu-101bk for 2 motors! that thing is made for one. and i certainly wouldn't use more than 6 cells, either. i mean, if you don't care if you burn it up, then you might just see how long it'll last. but i wouldn't.

let's see some pics...surely the hangover is gone by now

I'm using this ESC: Novak, XRS sport reversible
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGNG5&P=ML

was easy to mount in series...but tonight I will solder the wire for a parallel setup...I know this is better, I already use parallel for my SPIDER...
got to solve somehow the steering weaknesses ...[:-][:-][:-]

no need to solder anything extra for parallel. look at the pics. this is what i did for running parallel on mine. i use the novak super duty, though.

i don't know if that XRS can run 2 motors?

if you can't/don't want to shell out the bucks for the super duty, i would suggest the stock esc out of either the e-savage or e-maxx. the one for the e-savage can be had for about $50-$60 if you watch the auctions on ebay. most people will ship worldwide, too. just a thought.

i really predict failure for the XRS. but i will qualify that by saying i've never used one. but based on teh fact it's made for a single motor, i think it would burn up.

Yeah, the E-Savvu ESC would be an affordable alternative for sure!!
