ATTN: R/C semi owners and operators!
This thread is dediicated to all of us hard working R/C truck drivers! Plaese, post pictures and comments! This is my 1/16th scale WEDICO single axle Peterbilt. I hopped the frame and made it a single axle instead of a tandem axle. The bottom dumps are scratch built scaled down 24' trailers.

This is another oneof my projects. Its a Tamiya King Hauler being transformed into an early 60's flatbed straight truck. Many many hours of mods have gone into this bad boy! Enjoy

the wedico is powered by a 12 volt motor coupled to a single speed tranny which runs back via a drive shaft to the diff. i'm going to upgrade to a 4x4 tranny and add a driven front axle.

here is a small pic of my globeliner, and,my yet to be built king hauler,to be assembled as a 6X6 with TLT front axle, robbe 3 to 1 gear reduction transfer case out to the axles, and a 55T lathe motor. the second pic,is not a semi, but my dickie/tamiya unimog snow plow with my own aluminum wheels. i have the tamiya mercedes semi NIB,but,i may just leave that one put up.

Chebbie, have you cracked open the box for the Mercedes or is it still plastic wrapped?
If you have busted it open, can you take some picks of the kit? That'd be cool to see.

nope, the mercedes is still in it's plastic. i might have to tear it open, can't decide if i want to crack into it,as,tamiya will surely loose licenseing of the mercedes name before long.

Nice trucks! Ive built the knight hauler, although I originally was going to get an aeromax or king hauler. I still want a wedico, or even better, their CAT loader, but I dont have that much money. Id post pics of my truck, but well, I messed up the body and need to get a new one. Maybe if I make it a daycab, I wouldnt have to get a body...
Anybody know where I can get a replacement bumper for my knighthauler, without getting a whole sprue???

i run a wedico brick pack. this truck is capable of lights, sound and trailer electrical. my bottom dumps will run on full hydralics from a company call leimbach. i have some pictures of her with the hood up but i cant seem to find them. the back doesnt come off other wise i'd yank it off and snap some pictures.

i also have an old short of the king hauler when i was going to make it a 350 inch wheel base truck. i chopped the sleeper but never got around to finishing it. i still have the sleeper if anyones interested.

Nice Globeliner, that's my favorite out of the semi tractor line up. With the new F-350 out it should be possible to squeeze in a slipper on your 6x6 beast. You might want to reconsider the 55t lathe motor if you plan on using the new MFU unit. The sound won't sync a motor that has radically different specs then the stock Mabuchi.

I think Wedico makes some neat stuff, but in terms of scale it looks more like some metal stuck together aand a truck body put on it with some tonka wheels.
No offense to anyone, but if I'm going to spend the money that Wedico asks for for their trucks they need to be way more scale than that. That is what I like about Tamiya, super scale with super function and reasonably priced!
Did you make those hoppers? Those look great.
Here's mine...

Box stock time! I happy with it! This is after I rolled her 4 times at high speed. 1/10 Mazda did a "pit" on the 1/14 truck Still runs sweet!

i personally am very dissipointed with tamiya's semis. they have the look but its just the fact that they skimp on the important things like head lights. if you guys are interested in upgrades for the king hauler visit www.gardentrucking.com
