Default New - Looking for 1st Electric Car

Hey Im looking for my first RC electric car. Pretty much just for fun now, nothing too serious yet as far as racing goes. Just want to go out and race with friends on the street.

Any suggestions on my first car? I was thinking about the TC4 RTR.

Any input would be great. If possible dont want to spend over $300.

Thanks!

XXX-S, TC4, TB-02, TA-05, TT-01 (bit cheaper)??

Few more choices?

All would be fun, chose what you looks nice. I would go shaft if I was you, probably a more simple design (TT-01 or TB-02) as it will break less and be easier for a person new to the hobby.

Yeah this is for sure a "learn as I go" deal. Are some faster/have more get up and go than the others?

Thanks for your input, I will look into the other cars!

How fast the car is depends entirely on what motor/ESC you fit. That will determine your gearing and so your top speed/acceleration.

Dont worry about how fast the car is.

1. Rather look for something that you will be able to support through your local hobby shop.
2. Something rugged and reliable.
3. Has plenty of hop-ups available.

I am, trully, praying that she will enjoy the hobby as much as you do. I wish I could get my wife into it. But she likes flowers and was compleatly turned off of rc after the first time she drove my T-Maxx. She drove it though her flower bed. Not my fault but now she couldn't care less about my toys.

I hope so too.... Sorry about your situation... All I have to say though is just be glad that your wife was the one that drove it through the flower bed and not you! I would have been in the dog house for sure if I would have done it!
