Default Return of the Black Magic!!

Well i made this conversion along time ago and never finished it. Well I went to my lhs last night and bought 2 mamba max systems! The 5700kv and the 7700kv. I have 3300mah 6c batteries and 1 3700mah 6c battery. I put the 7700kv in my aluminum racing rs4mt and omg!!![:-] I am pullin 60+ out of it! I was racing a few cars down my road and the speed limit is 55 and i was passin every single car i raced with no problem! I have no cogging at all. I figured i would with my gp3300 and gp3700 packs and havin the 7700kv in a 4x4 racing truck but it is a rocket!! It beats my mini t that i converted to a drag truck[:-][X(] I need to go to the lhs again today and get a few more parts for the black magic but this is the farthest she has ever been!! I cant wait!!![>:] But i will get my rs4 mt radared and hopefully i will be gettin close to 65mph on black top. Here are some pics of the black magic in its latest stages, then a few pics of my drag converted mini-t. I don't have any new pics of my rs4mt yet though. The mini-t is pullin out almost 50mph on 7cells, i have 12cell that i might try to get close to 70+ That will be sweet. That would be pullin over 90,000 rpms, i think if i did my math right. I have it geared to reach top speed in 100 feet. So it is a bit hard to control but it is super fun to watch a red blur go by![:-]

Looks awesome! What scale is it closest to?

I'm worried about that motor.. The car may be too big than what the motor can handle, so it may heat up real quick.

well it is almost 1/6 it is a bit bigger then the jammin truggy. I do think the motor might be ok if i gear it right, i used to run a single 15 turn brushed and it had good speed and stayed cool.

If it overheats you could always run a bigger motor with the mamba esc, and some more cells wouldn't be bad either.

wel i pretty much finished the truck! I really like how it runs, but i have to have in in second gear because of how low i have it geared. I still need to get a 3channel fm radio that is fairly cheap, then i will be puttin 40 series beadlocks on it and moab tires. I am getting a little over 20mph right now but it is geared way to low. When i get the 3 channel so i can shift i will gear it up so i get about 20-25 mph in 1st and 30-35 in second. I really like how it has turned out so far, one more thing i need is a stronger servo, this was the only metal geared i had so i put it in it but it just don't have much torque, like 70-85 is all it has. I still will be puttin around another $200-$300 in her but this is my favorite rc i have owned so far. I built it all piece by piece a little under 3 years ago, and just made this new chassis a little under a year ago. This is my oldest rc. I have had this longer then any other, this and my clod are the only ones i have had for over 2 years. Well i will get some more pictures tomarrow, and i might try a few more gearing options just for testing, oh i have no cogging at all, i really like these mamba systems and i am never getting any other brushless except mamba from now on![>:][X(]

Well done some more work to her. I have the 40 series beadlocks with 23mm hex adapters, the i put lst tires on the 40 series beadlocks, i put in a 150oz. torqure 650mg jr servo mg, i have the f-650 extra big body on it, the body is made for the lst and mgt and such but it is still a tad bit small but it looks good. I am now getting about 14-19mph in first gear and 27-33mph in second, i still have room to gear it up but i really like the speed and long runs i get now. I have to shift it manually, because i am using a 2ch radio, but i will be getting a spektrum dx3 in the next few days, and hopefully some 4200+ mah packs. I need to sell a rs4mt with parts truck also. I will get some good pics tomarrow as i will be out driving her in the woods![:-][>:]

You could run 2 batts in parallel to cut down on the amp draw, double your runtime, and probably have faster take offs. You have plenty of room on that chassis.

ya, it takes off really fast as is, i have twisted the chassis from all the torque. And have poped out a few cvds. It would also be to much power i think for the stock emaxx tranny, first is already feelin a bit worn.

well, i think i will stick with the 2ch radio for awhile since i have been spending an awful lot, and i just bought 2 new 4200 ib packs at the lhs earlier. I need to save my money for my real 1967 Ford F-100 and finish it up.

Drop-in a Chevy 350 bored 40 over.
Also if you add a few cells to the packs it will help. Bracing too.

why would i drop in a 350 chevy in my ford? I hate when people do that to older vehicles. My built 302 has plenty of power to smoke the tires through first and second

I was pickin but a 350 isn't like a 457. Just a little more scoot and potential than a 302. I hate when people put 26s on an Impala or a Camaro, Nova with a candy paint. That is horrible.

ya i hate that too, i watched a pimp my ride and the lifted a monte carlo 10 incehs and put 26's on it and it was really tall and looked like s*** lol I really want a 427 super cobra jet to put in it but i would kill my self with all that power, we used to have a truck with a 428 cobra jet and it would pull the front tires off the ground about 4 inches. It was sweet.
