Default good all around motor

i just bought a 1/10th scale 4wd buggy and am looking for a good all around motor for bashing. I want good acceleration and decent battery run times. I dont need anything wild or crazy, but i am planning on upgrading my esc as well, so are there any good combos that you guys are running that you like? thanks

um, brushless would be a good option, if you have the money, prob a 5700 Mamba Max would be a good pick, what buggy is it??? and what size batteries are you planning on running???

i dont really want to go brushless, the buggy is the excede sunfire, so its not like race quality. Im just looking for a decent upgrade without spending alot of money. I am currently running 6 cell 3300 mah ni-mh's

the number of turns on the motor is 27 turns, it is nice that you can replace the brushes (also helpful for cleaning out all the carbon dust that has a tendency to build up), they have a "pro" version of it, same price, 27 turns... except it has these features
FEATURES: 27 turns, 22 awg wire, and 24 degree locked timing
Tuned and tweaked by Trinity motor technicians (pro version feature)
Balance checked armature (pro version feature)
Shaft is checked for straightness (pro version feature)
Diamond trued commutator (pro version feature)
Magnets are charged to capacity (pro version feature)
Aligned bushings and brush hoods (pro version feature)
Dyno tuned and tested (pro version feature)
Data sticker attached to the can (pro version feature)
Meets all ROAR/ARCOR specifications
New High Inertia Rotor Technology provides more mid range and broader
power band, lower operating temperature and new wire to commutator
fusing process for lower resistance
Revised cooling holes in the can not only improves cooling but alters
the can's magnetic field for increased "Virtual Timing".
Improved bushing alignment with reduced surface bushings for less
drag and more rpm
Pure copper endbell hardware for lowest resistance
Improved brush to hood fit and brush hood alignment
Flat can prevents cheaters from advancing the motors timing
Dual bushing supported
Factory installed, surface mounted capacitors
Laydown style brushes
Pulled that from tower, something to ponder, same price and all, so ya pick, hope it works good[8D]

orion makes the revolution, i had them and it is a sick motor. BUT he has a excede sunfire, his ESC wont support it. trinity co27, or the epic XX will be his best choices. but the co27 is cheaper and has more torque than the XX.

I would stick with the suggestions given, alot of people run CO27 with a 7 cell and have lots of fun, who makes the 7 cell anyway??

co27 will give you plenty of punch, trust me you will see a huge improvement over the motor that comes with the sunfire.

well i was thinking i was going to have to run a pack with the 7th cell offset on the top of one of the end of the pack, but it looks like the spot for the battery has enough room for a side by side 7 cell! i was thinkin about going with the duratrax pack...

side by side 7 cell, wow, nice, if you do that, make shure to have the batteries plus and minus terminals connect together, thus, you get 4200 + 4200 = 8400 Mah, easy as that[8D]

if you going with the side by side configeration then get those batteries mentioned at boom boom, there better than the duratrax ones. reason is the dtx 7 cell packs is not a side by side its a odd shot gun formation style. and you get less resistance with side by side packs than you do odd shotgun.,
