sorry. You do know how to run those in series right?
uh i think i know. i was thinking of making this like three way deans plug, two males, connected together (well like half), and a female to go into the esc.. dont know if that made sense...

i would have to change the spur gear also? why cant i just keep the stock one and use a mod one steel pinion?

Im on hold right now, Rcmonster has no more ofna motor mounts in stock, and no more MM esc's either! that sucks! i guess ill order my lipos for now, and by the time they to here rc monster should have stocked up.

could somone link me to a pinion gear on rcmonster's website? i would have to purchase the "5mm bore, mod1 pinion" the hardened ones? just need to get my stuff straight so i dont order the wrong things!

Well, i think your in luck for the esc, because take down tried a vxl on his b- warhead, and it works fine with 16 cells. You won't want to risk ruining a $15 pinion on your metal spur gear. Go with the kyosho spur, that way you can also run traxxas e-maxx pinions, but you will have to drill out the centers.

why would the pinion break? if the gear mesh is correct i should have no problems? ive never stripped or broke a pinion in my life! [X(]

so in theory i should be fine running 14.4 volts on my MM esc, with a cooling fan of course? i might as well do that since i already own one, instead of buying another one.. if so... i totally just saved myself 135$! SCORE!

If you use aluminum pinions on a steel spur they will most definitely shred up. Not too long ago on this forum there was a guy that this happened to. He was running an e-maxx with the novak hv system. And that doesn't even have as much power as the feigao! (he upgraded he spur to steel)

Your still going with the mamba? Are you sure you don't want a traxxas vxl? But if you already have the mamba, here's a fan:
(oh, and with 8 cells, take down says that his vxl doesn't even get warm!)

You'll need it if you use the mamba.

Just get the cheap integy 7.2v fan on the second link above. No need for that ridiculous ducted fan. The best fans are the vibration proof fans that can be found at computer parts stores. I don't know of a link since I buy local if I need them. Honestly any cheap 5v-7.2v fan will work work great. You can even use a 12v if you hook it up directly to your batteries.

And going back to the pinions. Just get the Hardened pinions from rc-monster. the only reason to get the Kyosho plastic spur is to use your existing pinions and to make it quieter. But it seems like you're going to be buying everything anyways. So just stick with the steelk spur and get this: http://www.rc-monster.com/gears.php
(its towards the bottom of the page... 5mm mod1 pinion). The kyosho spur is also on the same page. so you could pick one up if you wanted.
