Most likely be cheaper to get the TT-01 Lancia kit than buying all the parts separately...

Default RE: Tamiya TT-01 Rally

right, figured it out

to buy everything separately (inc delivery);

rims - £17
shell - £26.52
cockpit (if i can find one) - £15 (about)
body posts - £13.50

Total - £70.02

to buy a whole kit;

TT-01 Lancia Delta - £70

If i was to buy the kit, then sell off the parts i dont need -

all parts together - £20 (about)

parts separately - £30 (about)

Total - £50

right, let's see if my dad will let me do that

Yeah your best bet is to buy the kit, keep some spare parts even since you will be offroad who knows what might give ya know?

I'm probably going to need another Tamiya ESC soon. I'd buy your spare, but uh, yeah international shipping? lol!

personally i'd keep the parts, a spare silvercan is nice for winter bashing - as in disposable after the season is over. but then again i'm coming from the perspective of someone just starting out, so i have yet to amass a 20+ year collection of spare parts. [8D]

i have got nearly 2cm ground clearance fully loaded (with battery)
it doesn't sound like much, but compared to my racing TT-01, which has 4mm clearance, with no battery in

i went to the place i will use t on the weekend, and the biggest gravel is about 10 - 15mm, so i should be fine with it

you asked if it would be good on muddy hills and i said no. i didnt say anything about gravel. gravel,dirt, hard snow, basebasll fields are what a tt01 rally would be good on. mud sinks so the car will be unbalanced most of the time so if your front sinks a little the middle of the car will bottom out.

are you sure it won't be decent on muddy hills?, i will have rally tyres, what about if i wait until the mud has dried

we don't have baseball over here

hard mud should be fine for the car to go over. if the mud doesnt move that much it should be fine just dont think it kan go thru stuff like a trail truck can. i love the idea of a rally car but i havent found anything that will work out for my needs/wants. i hope it works out for you
