Default acme racing condor pro(nitro to electric conversion)

my bro got a nitro buggy about a year ago. today he asked me to come up with ideas to get it going. im thinking on going electric. i have an unbranded brushed motor and i can test with this. i think its about 19t. i can use my xl-5 and we have a reciever and batteries so i think i have everything on the electronic side. does bec mean it needs seperate batteries or runs from the main pack???? the stock tranny is geared too high as it was designed for a nitro engine and not a motor. so i was thinking of a rustler tranny. the measurements are correct and it will be easy to work with and i already have the spurs and pinions. it also has the slipper clutch.
any links to previous conversions advice and tips would be apreciated.

Thanks

BEC means you don't need a receiver pack. Gearing is more about your spur/pinion than the tranny. You will need alot more power than a traxxas esc and a 19t to power that. It's probably not worth the money, just get a new 4wd buggy, it's probably for the better.

we got it going yesterday with my xl-5 and 12t 550 traxxas motor and the tranny of my bandit. rearwd only as the dog bone wouldnt reach the front diff. we then tried the 19t unbranded motor and it was brill. i think i will get a mamba max and velineon 3500kv motor and give my bro the xl-5 for this car and i will give him one of my tenergy 8 cell 4500mah packs. so all he has to get is his own rustler tranny, a charger and the correct length dog bones.
hopefully any way.
thanks
