3s...lol..doesnt it go 65 on a 7cell? btw did you dye you wheels or get vxl black rims?
I have a hard enough time keeping it cool on a 6 cell, so I wonder how long it will last on a 3S...
lol yea not long in my opinion. We are gonna try it then when he blows it he can have my 5700. Then im getting the vxl.

And evaderkid, i have both. I painted one set (if you use the right paint it sticks well) and then i have a set off all front for the wide conversion that are the vxl black ones. I will get some pictures of my pede tomorrow and upload them if i can. Its dirty so it looks cool.

Well here is my car, I don't bash with it though, I am trying to get better at racing (I am having very slow progress). [&o]
I cut a hole in the body right in the body right above the ESC so when I get a cooling fan it can suck cool air through that vent, I am not sure if it will work. I run it on 11.1v 4500mah lipos.

Tell your brother to clean that battery dust, off AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! It will eat the chassis for lunch! Unless it has done so.......

I don't know exactly, but it is definitely heavier then if I had it stock. I am glad I don't have the aluminum diff case, that would REALLY weigh it down.

yea it is a lot more than stock. He doesnt have the extended one but he has the towers and arms so its probably a little more if not equal to ours. They are heavy. But handle so great.
Do you race with talons? lol thats your problem.

Yea Krawlin the dog is still holding up lol haha.

Nope I haven't raced with them yet. I though they would help handling? Should I put the stock ones back on?

btw, fuse, nice jato shafts.

you will love the vxl motor, you can gear it up, and run 3s. on 2s it should run pretty cool. i run 2s but they are proteks and the motor still runs cool. i'm geared 25/86 with dirt hawgs, and 23/86 with talons. that's geared for off road.

ummmmmmm. you dont have to but if they are the stock tires you better off getting 2.2 wheels instead of 2.8...and yea i would replace them but thats just me[8D][&:]

the only advantage 2.2 has is that their is more of a tire selection. as far as looks go, that's up to you. i would recommend some pro-line tires on some RPM wheels.

i always buy the white wheels from RPM, they are dyable, and they don't scratch up like those chrome finishes do. i took mine, and filled a pot of warm water with black rit dye. IMO, it turned out sick. they are on dirt hawg tires.

my motor runs at 160F, esc at 120F. the 3pm stops glitching, not cogging. even so, the vxl is fine on cheap AM radios.

Aghgghhh dont ask lol. It runs hot!!!
I usually gear is at 18/90 and it has tons of torque and power. Its perfect on that. But if i have a 19 it sucks and if i have a 16 it sux. I dont know what to do. AD do you always strip spur gears? cause im afraid of that. I seam to have found the perfect point with my motor were it doesnt strip and it runs fine. But the down side is the motor temps. [&o]

I got my maxamps 2s today. The 6000mah. Lasts forever lol.

Big news.....

Got my Align 600XL, fan, BEC, and pinion.....

Everything is installed. Motor works (just did a test without the pinion, had it spool up to 1/4 throttle), fan works, BEC works, and everything seems to be just fine.

I am currently charging my batteries, and updating the Mamba Max. Then I am going to calibrate it to the radio and I will be ready to go.

I lost the SD card for my camera so I wont have pictures for a while, but as soon as I get a new SD card, I will get pics of the full setup and probably a video of it in action.

And thanks Ryan (Takedown) and Ben (Brushlessboy16) for all of your help!

Here is the current setup of the truck-

Aluminum Upgrades -

- GH Racing Aluminum Bulkheads (Front and Rear)

- GH Racing Aluminum Center Braces

- GH Racing Aluminum Shock Towers

- GH Racing Aluminum Steering Setup

- Duratrax Aluminum Servo Guard

- FLM Aluminum Diff Cups

Other Upgrades -

- 4 OFNA Ultra LX One front shocks (2 in front, 2 in the rear) (More durable, looks better, smoother)

- THS Racing CVD's

- Traxxas Center CVD's

- RC-Monster steel idler gears

- Hitec HS-645MG Steering Servo

- Futaba S3004 Shift Servo

- Proline 40 Series Wabash Wheels (Dyed Black)

- Proline 40 Series Crime Fighter Tires (M2 Compound)

- Proline 23mm wheels hexes

- Tekno RC Wing Mount with OFNA Hi-Downforce Wing (Black)

Brushless Setup -

- Mamba Max

- 25mm Novak Fan on the MM

- CC BEC

- Series Y Harness for 12 cell NiMH or 4S Lipo

- Align 600XL Motor (Gearing is 28/66)

Overall cash total......... I don't even want to know....
