futaba 3pm fasst 2.4ghz owners, problem
i recently received my radio system, and the receiver wire does not look right. what is that extra piece sticking out? is that normal?
btw, this is my first 2.4ghz radio.

Well, if all that's normal I'm glad I bought the non normal one
I have no play what so ever in steering wheel on the transmitter and I dont have that odd looking extra piece hanging off the receiver antenna.

That extra piece sticking out of the Coax cable is the antenna. The 2.4 receivers have a length of coax (Grey part) followed by the antenna (Clear Part).
