Default Rustler to Slash conversion

After reading through the exploded views of both the rustler and the slash, this is the parts list I came up with to do a Slash conversion from a rustler
It appears that the slash uses the stampede rear control arms but I would consider that optional (not completely sure on the differences, might have to cut the body more to fit different length arms) I also didn't include the hardware neccessary for the swap

(Qty) Traxxas PN's - discription
(1) 5822 - chassis
(1) 5823 - side bumpers
(1) 5837 - skid plates
(1) 5836 - rear bumper
(1) 1914X - body mount
(1) 5835 - front bumper
(1) 5857 - Front springs
(1) 5858 - Rear springs
(1) 5873 - Rear tires
(1) 5875 - Front tires
(1) 5811 - Body

Total: $135.09 towerhobbies ($70 of that is the body and tires)

Optional parts:
(1) 5827 - battery hold down
(1) 2555 - rear lower control arms (stampede)
(1) 3644 - rear camber link (stampede)
(1) 1935 - steering turnbuckle
(1) 5811X - prographix body

Realistically, if you dont care about the bumpers and stuff you could do a conversion with the chassis, skids, body mount, tires and body for ~$112, but the bumpers are what make the slash so durable.

Or buy the slash for $189 shipped and have some spare parts

I will be doing this conversion when the parts become more available (many are on backorder now).

If anyone has both models and can confirm this that would be great

Didn't someone else ask this the other day? Just buy a slash.

I did not ask "what does it take to convert a rustler to a slash?" I am sharing the info I came up with to do the conversion and outlined the costs. The reader will decide for themselves which is the best option for them. Maybe you could be nice and refer the previous poster to this thread and he can make up his own mind.
