Default New modified Rustler pics

My VXL has undergone many new installments, the biggest being the tail spoiler from an REVO. It's looking more and more like the truck I pictured in my mind when I first bought it.

I have a few more stuff I'm going to put into it, including:

A silver alloy bumper
Blue shocks
Blue camber links
Further water-proofing electronics for snow and rain weather

I'll post more pics later, hopefully of it being in the 8-inch snow outside.

Any ideas or questions about the modifications?

How did you get a Revo spoiler on it?

Surprisingly, the rear tower already had the exact size and holes to fit the spoiler. However, the shell covered it completely. So I had to cut a large square-shaped hole in the rear of it. Now the spoiler conveniently comes out of the hole. Only downside to this modification is that now I have to screw off the spoiler's wings whenever I open the chassis.

I'm not sure, you're going to have to measure your pede's rear tower, and compare it to the measurements of the spoiler.

Have any naked shots??? Looks like a pretty sweet setup!

How are you enjoying the snow down in Sea-tac? 9" is a bit too much for my rc's. Even a huge MGT can't take all this snow on!

Yeah, I haven't ran my truck in the snow, but I'll tell you now, Rustler's are not good for deep snow, considering the low clearance. Maybe I'll get some shots of it in the snow though.

Will you please post a shot of the rear shock tower where the wing mount is attached? I'm sure many of us would appreciate it! Thanks!!

would the revo wing actualy help with performance or is it just for looks/slight protection? there was almost 10" of snow up here in Seattle, bt its been getting warmer and all melting so its down to about 5" still too much for my stampede. it's all slushy here now and my pedes not waterproof.

I'd love the wing for: A) The looks, and B) To run without the body, becuase the only vulnurable thing I see on the pede when not cruising w/ the body is the esc.

Btw, that rusty is a nice piece of work. How much have you put into it?

traxxaspede: Yes, I would think the rear wing would boost performance, at least when driving at high speeds. Though I only got it for looks.

whothefashizle: Thanks for the compliment. Wow, hard to think how much I put into this truck. Including the Rustler itself and all of it's batteries and chargers I've been through, I think I've spent $900+. I still have quite a few stuff I want to add to the truck, so I should be seeing 4 digits soon. I gotta love this truck's progress into it.

Thanks for the comments!

What body is that? Looks pretty good in black. I need a new body for mine and am looking for ideas.

Ah, I just purchased a clear Rustler VXL body. Then I headed down to the Hobby Store and bought some black R/C spray paint. The only mods to the body were taking off the small tail, and cutting a hole in the rear of it.

Could you please post a picture of the rear shock tower? I'd love to mount a wing like yours on my 'pede. Was it the traxxas revo wing mount or the tekno one?

I'll try getting more photos soon.

The wheels run ok, they are a bit saggy, but they're good in the dirt!
