well i started this project a couple days ago and it is coming along pretty good. the front end is still being designed. the current front is temporary maybe not who knows. the chassis and cadge are made of delrin. i plan on using slash wheels and tires, i will be using traxxas front spindles so i can run them. i will try to update when i can.

I'm liking the concept already! Definately will be cool to see an r/c replica of a modern desert race buggy.

the major thing i am trying to figure out is how i am going to do the steering. i like bell crank but that is a bit complicated, maybe something like the stampede...

I'd do bell crank. You can just take a Losi assembly since you already have Losi fronts and rears.

i kind of wanted to re-do the front with more custom made parts...if i am building it i would like as much of it to be custom as possible...but, if i have to i guess i will.

See, now that is what a buggy is supposed to look like.

I don't know how R/C got so off-track and started making buggies look like closed-cockpit F1 race cars from outer space with off-road wheels attached to the end of ludicrously long suspension arms.

Really fantastic job. What scale would you say it comes out to? 1/7 perhaps?

Now THAT is how the SC10 should have been done.

You should think about making a kit that converts losi buggies to this, maybe offer it to a company that makes stuff like this? I dont have a losi but i would get one if this was available.

if anyone is really interested i may be able to make a couple more...but it is a slow build process. i still need to test this one...still snow on the ground here.
