My Slash got so muddy and dirty today that I use the garden hose and spray it clean. is that ok since the electronics are waterproof?

If you are willing to properly take care of the motor and bearings then its perfectly fine. But I would buy some WD-40 and spray down the motor afterwards.

Yes you can use the hose, but you don't want to SPRAY it. The manual is pretty specific that you can let the water from a hose run over it to clean it, but DONT put your thumb/finger over the end to increase the pressure, as that could force water into the bearings and past seals in the ESC, servo, and radio box.

I clean all my rc's with a garden house, the nitro ones, I remove the engine and all the electronics, the e-revo, that is the closest to the slash as water proof goes, I remove the motors, unscrew the ESC, and put it in a ziploc bag, remove tires and I spray it down, inmediatly I spray it with wd40.

Taking your electronics off is a quick thing that doesnt cost anything; while ruining your esc and receiver cost alot of money.
