i think changing the shock oil to a heavier oil helps, now if i can only get my shock cap to open..[:@], also check out the new chassis that came out, supposed to stop the rolling pretty well (on road at least)

What are you doing that causes it to tip over?

The slash is meant to perform well off road. you might have to change the set up a little to get it to perform better on-road.

If you are talking about tipping over when you are turning then you need to slow down going into and out of the turns.

I think you might be confusing the Slash with a buggy. The Slash is supposed to be realistic which is why there is so much body roll. If you want something that handles better with a lower cog so you can do speed runs then I'd suggest either a buggy or a rustler/speed-t type truck.

I know that everyone always wants to upgrade to get better performance but the slash is one RC that I plan on leaving stock. Sure I'll tweak it and maybe upgrade certain parts with RPM as they break but it's fun BECAUSE it drives the way it does.

The gearing will depend on which motor you use. If you have a stock one I can't help you, upgraded to VXL before I even ran it the first time.

My best advice to the gearing question is buy all the pinion and spur gears you can find, from 15t to 28t and see which one you like the best.

why did you even buy a slash? it sounds like you should of bought a buggy or stadium truck.... just remember that taller gears = more top end. shorter gears = more bottom end, which is what you want for off-roading. buy a variety pack from tower and experiment.

As far as the tipping problem; here is my set up.  I never flip wile running slicks on pavement.

shock a-arm position:     all four all the way to the outside holes.
Shock fluid:                        50wt on all four
springs:                              stiffest my local hobby shop had
preload:                              none

Yah just join the ends of the two wires at the end where the switch used to be together and it will always be on with your battery plugged in.
