How fast do you wanna go?
A friendly debate has come up with some forum users....so now im curious... in a 1/10th scale truck all things taken into account regardless of being a basher or a racer, what speeds do you want to get out of your truck? Feel free to state your reasons as to why you chose the speed you did. IMO i prefer a truck that delivers 30-40 mph speeds that has a nice usable powerband that is good for the track.... but thats just my .02... Faster always crashes hard....

i agree with rotorhead, can get the lower speeds and such, but when you want to impress someone you can just go balls out lol

My truck probably runs 15-20 mph, probably around 20. I am an extremely FIRM believer that faster is not better, it actually makes you a worse driver. Get a 27 or 19t motor and your driving will be much better. It really depends on where I am though. On indoor tracks a 27t/factory matched energ 4600 6 cell is plenty. But on a bigger track I have to run a 9 turn motor and 5 cell battery which gets me to about 40. Burns though tires every 3 runs though!

As fast as I can. 
Nah, I've figured out that about 35 - 40 mph is plenty fast enough for me. Although it would be nice to have a car on hand that can blow away any Nitro that wants to try.

I perfer 40 to 50 that way you can keep up or beat most nitros and still be able to race on most tracks. Any faster and you just break a lot of parts.

LOL there goes the theory of most ppl wanting to go 60+. To me in a monster, stadium truck, or buggy, doing 60+ is absolutely pointless. If you want to do 60mph+ do it in a touring car...

Oh and another thing i'd be willing to bet that most ppl that think they're doing 60+ aren't actually doing 60+.......they'd probably be quite surprised if they used an actual radar gun or gps.

It's all on driving skill, whoopee you can go 60 in a straight line, now put that on a track and u cant do anything but roast your tires and bust your car. I believe in fast, yet careful racing. Although for bashing, speed is admittedly more fun. What you can do is get a decent remote and just dumb down the throttle % for lower speed runs and crank it back up for impressive drag racing speeds.

I voted 40-50, because you still get a usable powerband for tighter tracks(You don't have to be full throttle all of the time you know), but you can get moving real quick for running on the street, dirt, park, or whatever where you have the space for speed. Anymore than 40-45mph in an off road car just really isn't necessary. It seems like it's usually only beginner/novice drivers that want to go ridiculous speeds in an off road car. Save the high speeds for the on roads, that's what I do.

IMO anything over 50 mph for a truck is to much and make it almost impossible to control. but seeing a touring car doing 60+ is like nothing else... but i picked 40-50 also

As fast as I can go. [8D] I can alwasy drive slow, that is why I like my 4-Tec, I normally dive it around like 35-50MPH, but if I want to show off for some reason, I can punch it.
Oh, and less people bother me when it is going that fast. LOL.
I don't like people hanging around....well unless I know them.
