Default mamba monster 2200kv

im getting a mamba monster 2200kv motor and esc combo, do i need to get a new spur gear, cause i have the stock 47 tooth one now? and would the 18 tooth pinion gear that comes with the kit work pretty good, any recommendations would be helpful. thanks.
going to be putting it in a savage x, and do you know if you can have two batteries hooked to the esc or just one?

yo uare going to want the 2200. the 2200kv motor is 40x75 while the 2650kv motor is only 40x68. also, you can't run 6s lipo on the 2650. yes, you can run 2 batteries at once. there are two ways you can do it.

for example:

2 3s 5000mah lipos in series will be like running 1 6s 5000mah lipo.
2 3s 5000mah lipos in parellel will be like running 1 3s 10,000mah lipo.
2 6s 2200mah lipos in parellel will be like running 1 4400mah 6s lipo.
if using 2s or 3s lipos, get a series adaptor. if using 4-6s lipos, get a parellel adaptor.

hope this helps

You will need a new mod 1 pinion gear. the one that comes with the system is a mod .8 . It will not mesh right

I have the same setup in an e-maxx, 6s, I got a "hardened" steel spur and a novak steel pinion and i absolutely demolished the pinion in about 10 runs. Now i got a hardened steel pinion of equal strength and it is doing great so far.
