Don't you just love the JC body? I do, it looks so perfect on the Rustler.

Yea they are my favorite body for the rustler. They last a long time. I beat the hell out of them and they still look good and last.

Though soon I am going to have to take the wing off, its just about done.

Hey, just a quick update on my RC18T...
I'm thinking about putting all of the RC18T stuff I have on eBay for around $100 just to get rid of it. I just need to get a driveshaft and spur gear but I honestly have no urge to do so. It was fun to drive but too small and I have lost interest in the hobby recently.
I used to love the hobby but it's just that I haven't driven a RC and truly enjoied it in months and it seams if I really want to have something I can enjoy I'm going to have to spend big bucks which I don't really want to do because I would rather put that money toward my 1/1 car or a laptop/PC.
Basically I just want something cheap, durable, reliable, and FUN. I had a Slash but the HORRIBLE handeling and always having to flip took away from the fun... The HPI Blitz looks nice but what if it's the same thing as the Slash...

its called tuning. My slash hardly ever flips. It is also your driving style, learn to drive the truck, don't let it drive you. Stiffen up the shocks a bit and get some 8th scale buggy tires and you are good to go.

Here's the start of my rustler beater build. I had bought it as a MSC version roller minus several things on ebay so I still have to build it up some.

I just got a $20 off $50 coupon from TowerHobbies so I might get the RC18T running. I just need to get a driveshaft and spur gear but I'm thinking about giving up on 1/18 and getting a 1/10 or maybe even a 1/8. I haven't driven a RC in over a month so waiting 2 or 3 more isn't going to be that hard since I'll be able to get a job in september/october.

Nice slash! Be sure to keep us updated! And next time, could you please attach the pictures? That way the page loads much faster and they can be seen in the slideshow for this thread.

I built up the rustler. I wasn't planning on using these wheels and tires but I had them laying around. The last picture shows what the rustler looked like when I first got it.

Ran the rustler today. Probably should have waited till' I got a new body but I was desperate
Here's a little video. Really sorry about the quality. My video camera is broken so all I had was the digital camera but I tried to make it as interesting as possible - http://vimeo.com/5958421
