would a spektrum SR3000 reciver work in a e-revo? i am asking because the e-revo uses 2 sevros for the steering. also i am putting in a novak hv maxx 6.5 motor in it. what size pinion should i buy for it? and what other upgrades should i buy for it for hard bashing?

I'm sure you could... why don't you enter Y harness in towers search box and find out?
As for the HVMax... not sure on the gearing as I have a MMM in my erevo, it would really depend on what you're doing with it. Mostly on road, mostly off road? what kind of batteries?

what is the stock spur gear size on it (i dont have one yet)? also i have read a bit and herd that the suspension is really soft. what is a good set up that is good for big jumps? what rockers should i get?

Why wouldn't it work? Besides looking a little bulky there is no practical difference between them. Personally I've got so many stock switches sitting around I would just make my own.

The stock spur size is 19 tooth although it should be 17 because it runs really hot. As for the pinion for the HV I am not sure but if you are using the stock motors for a bit you might want to put 17 tooth gears in. Hope this helps.
