friction shocks are assembled, the alloy body is pretty light, yet the shaft is heavy steel.

i cant believe i'm having to put friction shocks on a vehicle, Tamiya i want a hop-up [&o]
I thikn that you can stick the gold oil shocks for the juggernaut on it. After all the prototype HL used them.

not sure why Tamiya insist you put this device between two metal parts, i can understand between metal and plastic.. anyway, its in the bin!

Those are some of the coolest cars or well trucks out there, me being a Ford guy the F350 would be my choice. But its astounding that on kits that cost so much money they dont even include ball bearings or oil shocks.

It's called quality. Unlike most manufacturers, almost all of their products are still made in Japan.
Also, shiftable trannies cost more to make.

it says on the box man! (1st pic!) its 35T and is meant for the Tamiya crawler series.

i must say even though the build has been left for a couple of weeks, i tried the (friction) shocks, and they were stuck till i gave them a quick pump. ahem.

gearbox complete....

and attached to chassis rails...

i dont see painting this will make much (if any) difference, so i skipped it.. obviously the fact i could ruin the chrome played a part in my decision..!

good call by Tamiya on the clear and yellow light lenses, i know i would only use clear, but maybe US or other countries might use yellow??
