Default xxx-t sport roller?

Hey folks,

I am looking to buy a roller to move my electronics over to from an old monster beetle. I've been looking at the T4 and XXX-T rollers on EBay. I don't bash but do just putter around my house with this car mostly for my 2 yr old son. He gets a kick out of watching it. This car will eventually be his and I'm wondering if a xxx-t sport would be decent for him to learn on? The factory and CR setups are nice, but wondering if they're overkill now?

I was looking at this roller - xxxt sport.

How young do folks start their kids with an RC car?

Appreciate any input.

That would be a good truck. Put a 27 turn motor and turn down the EPA so it is slow, and he wont break any parts.

i would start a kid out with a traxxas car. probably a slash or a rustler and if they are a bad driver put a slower motor in it so no parts are broken until he learns how to drive. then switch it to stock and then brushless. traxxas cars are like tanks. i have an xxx-t all graphite and it is pretty weak. it is doing ok now but i was breaking parts left and right when i first got it. the main problem was it was going to fast for me and i kept smashing it into stuff. but i did the same with my rustle and it was fine. never broke much on it.

however with a 27 turn motor on any car would be hard to break. unless it gets run over by a real car. []
