which sc truck will be faster ON THE TRACK?
i know its a bit hypothetical but just play along.
who gets your vote as the most likely king of the short course. (im talking lap times here)
will it be the tried and true 2wd slash?
http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...5/trx_5805.htm
or its 4wd counter part?
http://www.traxxas.com/products/elec...html#/video-00
or the ae sc10 with its racing background?
http://www.rc10.com/ae/sc10/sc10_home.htm
or maybe the losi strike
http://www.losi.com/Products/Default...rodID=LOSB0105
or how bout the hpi truck?
http://www.hpiracing.com/kitinfo/103171/
or possibly the old school 4x4 experts from ofna with their new model the hyper10 sc?
http://www.ofna.com/hyper10sc.php
opinions? reasons?

Depends on the track. The Losi would be good on high bite tracks because of the mid mouunted motor and it has tremendous steering, but not as much rear bite as Slash. The Slash would be better for loose/loomier tracks because it has more rear traction and is reasier to control.

good point on the mid motor 2wd setup the losi runs.
i think the ofna will be a pretty tough customer. they have the advantage of 4wd like the traxxas 4x4 slash with the added benefit of years of racing experience.
im a losi fan myself but i wanted to see where the voting went early without my vote yet.

brain, the ofna is available as a combo package with a mm brushless system, 4x4, plus something traxxas cant claim (not the it matters in this class, but still) 4wd world championship caliber background.

It really comes down to how the truck is setup and the conditions of the track.

We cant vote for the 4wd slash because it doesnt come out til the end of the year.[&:]
Nobody has tested it yet, all I saw was a video of it that's it.
Alot of things come into consideration, but 4wd isnt always better, it comes down to setup and driving.
A 2wd can beat a 4wd with the right driver. Mainly because 4wds' weigh more. Happens all the time.

scores and scores of slash 2wd owners, and out of 33 total votes so far, not a single vote for the slash.
interestingly informative.
