RE: Official Tamiya TRF 201 Build Thread
I rated your post gave it 5 stars!
So looking forward to this car. People at the track are buzzing
"B-mag's getting the 201, we have to prepare for that!" LOL
Madisonville Kentucky bless thier heart has got a 2wd buggy class started:
Here's the video

NM the 1st link didnt work, but they started this class because they knew I liked racing on offroad carpet.
try this one:

darn not that one too...[:-] Oh well...[&:]
Here's the manual for the 201
http://www.tamiya.com/japan/download...2167trf201.pdf
Oh there's one thing I have to point out the front axels are metric, so desert gator front wheels should work. but for AE style wheels
you have to buy the optional front axels. I like metric so I'll just keep the car that way.
AE/Jconcepts wheels will fit the rear thou. Should be a direct fit.

RE: Official Tamiya TRF 201 Build Thread
check with Champ RC in Japan, 19900 yen is about $225, I have never had to pay more than $40 US to ship a single kit from there so you could save enough to order some of them hop ups or spairs, shipping is EMS, from Japan to Iowa in four days usually. Just send them an email to check stock status as I'm sure they have been selling the heck out of them.

Looking forward to seeing this! Looks like I might just have to add another great Tamiya buggy to my line up. Looks like this one has a lot of support behind it.

My Feedback: (11)
TRF201 Resurrection 2018
Trf201 rebuild, all parts were cleaned with brush in a solution of warm water, vineger and cleaner then rinsed well in hot water. After all is dry I will clean off any old grease that was left. Drain and refill shocks and start picking out the best parts to assemble 1 buggy.
I will be rebuilding a TRF201. I scored a roller for $25 and tracked down 2 others for parts. All have various upgrades on them. I plan on installing a 17.5 brushless. I have a new 24t pinion and it looks like I have a 69, 77 & 79 spur gears to choose from. Not really sure which one will be good to use. Not racing with this. Just want a good gearing setup so I can get it out and have some fun. Will post more as I go along.
