HELP no response!!

Hi, I have a brushless ansmann vapor rtr, I have had it running just fine, then i left it alone for three months and it does not work. I have tried all the basic stuff, changing/charging batteries etc. The problem is when I switch on the car it makes the usual beeping noise and the led's are on ok, but when I switch on the transmitter I get no response at all, before when I switched on the transmitter it would set the wheels straight? it seems as though there is no communication between the transmitter and receiver?? But, if I hold the aerial of the transmitter near the car and wave it around the steering servo gets 'twitchy' I have no clue what to do?? Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanx.

turn on your radio then your car, you should always do it in this order.<div>

I have tried that, makes no difference, no response still?
the ansmann transmiter is the W3 (not the W3.1) it uses 40mhz and the crystal says 53 on both the tx and rx, nothing has changed since it was last used other than it was sat for a few months?

RE: HELP no response!!

Hi, I have just changed the receiver for one out of an older ansmann car and whilst it still does not respond, it will fully respond when I touch the bare wire from the reveiver antenna to the transmitter aerial, as soon as i part them it does not respond. Any help appreciated. Thanx.

Did you leave your battery plugged in while you stored it?

RE: HELP no response!!

I cant remember, possibly, why would this matter after just a few months, (I know it is not recommended)?? surely it would do no harm to the esc, tx or rx??
