Cheap to fix, durable, fun basher?

Hey. i'm looking for a cheap to fix and durable as well as fun rc offroad 1/10 car. I've been looking at the Electrix RC Rukus or Circut, but are they any good? My Price limit is 150.00. any help? Thanks

Buy a Duratrax Evader. Better parts support, even at most hobby shops. It also uses pretty common parts.

tamiya df 02 is my favorite basher, all the parts are cheap, $10 frame, $10 parts trees, I get parts from Japan to save even more $6 frames $5 parts trees, Champ RC is the dealer over there I use. Dinball has a bunch of aluminum for these cars if your so inclined. Lots of bashing videos on youtube

the ruckus has better ground clearance than other options in the price range, that's a good thing

Of the two you posted, I'd choose the circuit, I like the stadium trucks. does your local hobby shop carry parts for it?

RE: Cheap to fix, durable, fun basher?

they're basically the same truck, but the ruckus will be able to run in more places with its larger tires and bigger ground clearance

it's surprising how small ruts and rocks can be that will hang up a stadium truck/short course/buggy

if you just plan on running in parking lots, the stadium trucks are great, but if you're going off road (and not on a groomed track) the monster truck will work better

OK, thanks. Yes, our LHS has lots of parts. I'll choose the Rukus, considering i'll be running off curbs and on the road in the grass as well as the muddy empty house lots. and 1 question, can the stock ESC run with a titan 12t? Thanks!

Yeah, don't go with a 12t titan. They are known for burning out in a puff of smoke.

Thanks, but doesn't the ESC have a 12T limit so i will be able to run a titan? I was double checking.

No.. Get yourself a Duratrax Evader or a used Traxxas 2WD model or even a used HPI Blitz. All very good trucks. Not a fan of the Electrix stuff.

One of my LHS's has Electrix for rent. They have an indoor track. I spoke with the owner because I was thinking of buying one for my son's 7th bday, he currently has a Losi Mini DT. He told me that the Rukus has a lot of play in the steering and in the wheels, but was pretty durable, but if I wanted something that would be able to handle speeds like my Rustler then I should get the Circuit. I saw some guys that rented Circuit's and they were taking a pretty good beating on the track with no issues.

Seriously dude? This is barely English.

Why would anyone take your advice seriously when you can't be bothered to type a readable sentence?

It's not English. It's ancient Babylonian. I feel quite blessed to have the mighty Xerxes in our presence.;)

back on topic guys anything thats traxxas and 2wd will be cheap on parts and easy to fix but if you're a hardcore basher you might want to look into 4wd otherwise a stampede or rustler will do fine
