Attachment 2225219 Esc? Xl5 and vxl3Tonight me e10 has a xl5 esc will not reset t .i have done the steps. It will not do the single red blink to double red blink sequence. My friend has a vxl3.
My question is can i use the nimh 3000mah 8.4v 7 cell. And a titan 12t 550 with the vxl3?
Also how would i set up the lead wires coming from the esc to battery
The vxl3 will br given to me if compatible with the battery and motor. Ive tried to the research but i have a hard time understanding what i am finding out about the vxl3.

You could use the battery on the vxl but not the titan motor . The vxl is a brushless esc !

Brushed motors being used with VXL-3 ESC should be connected to the Blue (+/A) and White (-/C) wires. The Yellow (B) wire is not used.

I didnt know that !

There are many "brushless" speed controls that will operate a brushed motor. They will say if they do in the manual. I don't think all brushless ESCs will operate brushed motors, but usually Castle Creations, Traxxas, Novak, and a lot of others will get the job done. Just for laughs, I may have to try to put a couple of super low budget no-name brushless ESCs to the test.

Now that you said it , I sort of remember something in my Castle handbook , must have skipped over it . Better go read it properly !
