entry level ESCs

Does anyone have an experience with some of the entry level ESC, like the Novak XRS? I'm looking for a couple of them so I can finish a couple of buggies for my wife and daughter, they would like to play too! I've had some of the duratrax stuff, not too impressed there, so I'll be looking elsewhere. I am using a Novak GTB, and thus far its been great. Recommendations? Thanks.

Try the novak XRS Sport Reversible. I think its an awesome ESC to start out with... I used it with my 15t brushed motor, no troubles...

The XRS is a good speed control I have been rough with mine and it takes it in stride. But I got a Dynamite Tazer 15t and I really beat on it and still coming back for more. I got it to see just what it would do and was surprised and it was under $30. Futaba makes a good reversible to, I have 2 MC230CR's on a Stampede and a Rustler both seem to be good for the price. Just depend's on what you want to spend versus what turn motors you will run.

The duratrax streak is great. I've had two of them for three years now and just got another! they handle up to 10 cells and down to 12 turns for $35. It's the only ESC that has survived my brother's chronic overgearing problem! lol
