Which ESC to buy for Tamiya Double Blaze................

which is the same as the Twin Detonator. It has a manual spped control now and runs two stock 540's. I'm looking to put in an electric speed control, but have heard that there are but a few of them for twin motor vehicles.

Just yesterday I put a ESC into my Wild Dagger (which is also the same thing). I used Futaba's MC330 CR and it works just fine with it.

Thanks for the info. I will get one and try it out on the Blaze. I forgot that the Dagger was the same as the twin and the Blaze

Go for a more powerful esc if you can. The evx, super duty xr, and super rooster can handle multiple motors and 10-16 cells.

An evx, KA-6, Novak super duty are all twin motor esc's that are probably overkill. Nearly any single motor esc can still power twin motors as long as the specs are up to par. You would simply y-connect the motors in parallel by using adapters/solder wires/or jumper wires.

The stock motors are 27 turns so a limit of 13.5 turns or lower is what you will need in a single esc rating. There are many with 0 limit, 8 turn, 10 turn 12 turn, and you can probably get away with a 14 or 15 turn limit if you want to push the limit and risk failure. I like using a cheap duratrax streak with a 12 turn limit and no reverse with the stock motors because it allows me to use up to 10 cells as well and really makes the stock motors come to life.

Tamiya's teu-101 ($30-40) works good with two stock 540s. I have it in my TD and 4x4 blackfoot.
