Two trucks and a buggy, which one

Hey guys and gals, I've up and sold the Rusty with all the mods and such and was looking for a new truck or buggy and I have a couple questions.

Fist of all, there is a new-ish Duratrax truck, the EXT EP, it's dirt cheap, 119 bucks to be exact and it's an RTR. What makes it so different than the standard EP truck that costs 170? 50 dollars cheaper sure looks good, but I've had the buggy version of the regular EP (the BX) and it was trouble prone (the suspension was too soft, the rear kept smacking the ground shattering the motor magnets and no matter what I did, I couldn't keep it from happening).

Also, while my mouth is watering, I see that Tower has a 3-pay for a Associated B4RS Race-Spec RTR, OMG OMG OMG. I would love a dependable basher again, but I also like upgrading and changing out parts and such.

I love buggies, and I love stadium trucks. I love to work on them so that's no problem, no matter which one I get, it won't remain stock for long.

Any suggestions on the two trucks or the Associated buggy?

Small bump.

So I think to myself, that EXP is dirt cheap, I could use the money I save into mods, but no one knows the difference between the two trucks at least? I don't know if it's worth modding.

Then again, I've always wanted an Associated buggy, how would that last in a bashing only environment (skate park ramps, grass, gravel, etc)?

I'll take a look, I don't really know of any affordable 1/10 scale electric truggies though.

not sure if "financing" a RC toy is a good idea.....

No interest accrues, no financing involved. LOL, done it plenty before with Tower, no problems at all.

the EXT with the new magnaflex material parts and the new gear tranny is alot more durable than the current evader.

Is that all? I'm sold. I thought it would some huge downgraded version given the current price. I need the durability, I beat the snot out of my RCs.

well they have downgraded a few things, IMO plastic shocks are a downgrade but some people think differently, also it comes with bushings and not bearings, big downgrade but you can replace them i think they have a bearing kit.. radio, esc and motor are same maybe a little better than current vaders. but at 119.99 its a screamer buy.

I leave nothing I buy unmodified anyway. The shocks I don't mind at all, the bearings will all be replaced, but it doesn't take 50 bucks to do that, screamer buy is right, gives me leftover for a new ESC and motor, because I know the photon is a snail. Oh, also, the body is hot! I just wish I could see the other colors.
